Riccione, the Green Pearl of the Adriatic

One of the most famous seaside resorts on the Adriatic, Riccione is a trendy city where fashion, elegance, a sparkling atmosphere and the pleasure of life win over visitors. Any season of the year is pleasant even if the Green Pearl of the Adriatic, so called for its tree-lined avenues, parks and gardens, gives its best in the period from spring to summer.

Its living room is Viale Ceccarini, which allows a tour of the fashion boutiques or an outdoor aperitif. But the city can also satisfy those who love to attend places of cultural interest. Villa Franceschi, a building dating back to the beginning of the twentieth century, houses the Gallery of Modern Art and Villa Mussolini, once a seaside holiday home of the Duce, offers exhibitions and cultural activities throughout the year.

Amusement parks

There are many theme parks on the Riviera Romagnola where you can spend a different day with your family. Near Riccione there is Oltremare, a park where man, dolphins and nature meet in a thrilling emotion that combines fun with education on marine species, and Aquafan, the number one water park in Europe for attractions and pool parties

Not far away is Fiabilandia, the playground suitable for children, and Italia in Miniatura to discover the beauty of our country in one day, both are in Rimini. Moving a bit, a visit is a must to the largest playground of the Riviera Romagnola, Mirabilandia, which offers unforgettable emotions and pure fun

Excursions and villages

Near Riccione, in the hinterland of Romagna, there are many characteristic villages dating back to the Middle Ages or to the time of the Malatesta dynasty. Among these we recommend San Leo, Gradara, Bertinoro, Santarcangelo, Verucchio and Sant'Agata Feltria

For lovers of nature and outdoor excursions, there is no shortage of truly magical places to discover, on foot or by bike, such as the Po Delta Park. You can also discover the paths that run through the River Uso, the Natural Park of Monte San Bartolo and the Regional Park of the Chalk Vein Romagnola.
